Caldwell Trust Company Board Awards Grants To Sarasota Military Academy And An Alumnus

The board of directors of Caldwell Trust Company recently awarded $5,000 in grants, with two grants totaling $3,000 to Sarasota Military Academy and a third awarded as a $2,000 scholarship to an SMA alumnus according to R. G. “Kelly” Caldwell Jr., CEO and president. SMA-MAJ Victoria Finley, advancement director of the academy, says the funds have been allocated as follows: · $1,500 for the SMA Cadet-to-Cadet mentoring program, to be applied to the purchase of a school bus for the program’s transport needs;
$1,500 for the technology needs at SMA Prep middle school campus, to be applied towards the purchase of IPads for the students; and $2,000 as a scholarship to a SMA alumnus, a freshman at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina.
