Originally commissioned for the US military, the FORTIS exoskeleton’s lightweight frame and energy efficiency earned it two Good Design awards. If you think that this exo-suit is as high-tech as they come, you’d be wrong: FORTIS is entirely human powered (nixing the need to charge or replace batteries) and doesn’t require space-age extras in order complete complex jobs, like building an aircraft.
