Manatee County Parks Hosts Career Night for Students

Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources will host the department's first Career Night for middle school, high school and college students next week. The May 1 event will take place at Robinson Preserve's new Mosaic NEST, the new, elevated treehouse education center. This event will take place from 6 to 8pm, with a panel discussion starting at 6:30pm. County departments and divisions from several areas will be on hand including the Recycling division, Parks and Natural Resources' IFAS Extension program, Resource Management, Ecological Services, Volunteer and Education and Natural Resources. Each will share stories, tips on breaking into the field and answer questions about their jobs and daily duties.
