One part sassy, two parts classy, this fresh women’s boutique raised its glass to a grand opening earlier this month, and is shaking up what it means to be a “boutique.” Bradenton native and owner of Fixxation, Kara Nelson, covers the lifestyle spectrum—focusing on all things style, wellness and interiors. Completely unassuming from the outside, the interior is a 10. From a cozy corner rocking a cowhide rug and rust colored velvet armchairs, to a vintage piano thrifted and painted forest green and adorned with Elle Leblanc earrings, Nelson built-out and designed the entire shop nuts to bolts herself. Funky light fixtures hang. Wildflowers tied to ropes hang. Beautiful silk dresses and comfy sweaters hang.

But Fixxation is not only provisioning fashion-forward brands and interior design inspo. Nelson plans to soon expand from retail, to offer daily yoga classes in a back studio, as well as various wellness activities throughout the week such as Monday Meditation + Mocktails, Wednesday Flower Markets and Friday "Happy Hours." Additionally, the front patio of the shop will soon procure tables and chairs, along with a cornhall set and juice truck for ladies to come hang, refresh and socialize after shopping or a vinyasa flow.

Until all that coolness comes, Fixxation is still a great place to come score a babein fall outfit and natural beauty products. Snag a Rachel Pally sweater dress, slip on a pair of killer Caló x James silk tassel sandals and grab some oversized cat-eye sunglasses by For Arts Sake to complete a show-stopping look. Salt rock soaks and a radish root face creme by Nash + Jones, as well as mod wellness books like Clean + Dirty Drinking, Eat Pretty Every Day and Nature’s Remedies are among the wooden shelves. From high-end fringe denim by Habitual and a ribbed fabric swimsuit by Elle Jay to Golden Tumeric Tea Drops and an Underarm Detox Clay, this is a woman’s one-stop-shop dream come true.
