City Offices Closed for Thanksgiving; Garbage Collection Schedule Changes

City of Sarasota administrative offices will be closed Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Offices will reopen Monday, December 2. Waste collection schedules will be affected by the holiday. There will be no garbage, recycling and yard waste pickup on Thanksgiving day. Collection will be delayed by one day: Thursday collection will occur one day later, on Friday, November 29 and Friday collection will occur on Saturday, November 30.  For more information on garbage collection, contact the Solid Waste Division at 941-365-7851.
