Internationally renowned, Sarasota-based design firm ROBRADY has joined with the founder of GMX7, David McCagg, to create a revolutionary aquatic resistance training device for swimmers, the X1-PRO. ROBRADY collaborated with McCagg, who is also a world-class swimmer and coach, to realize the 7-time gold medalist’s vision for a more effective resistance training device for swimmers of all levels. The resulting product, the X1-PRO, represents a next-level advance in training - delivering a completely new era of resistance training for amateur and world-record-holding swimmers alike. “With the X1-PRO, we didn’t set out to just re-vamp a product,” says ROBRADY CEO and Design Director Rob Brady. “Our goal was to re-invent the aquatic training experience to fully realize David’s vision.” In light of the successful collaboration—the X1-PRO is now on the market and endorsed by Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte—the two companies have decided to formalize their partnership such that the Sarasota-based design firm will exclusively design and develop all GMX7 products.
