In an effort to stimulate the economy and to acknowledge those who have worked tirelessly for us throughout this pandemic, Sand Cay Condominiums Beach Resort in Longboat Key is featuring a national "Heroes Program" to honor and recognize local heroes–including firefighters, police officers, healthcare workers, postal workers, retail and grocery workers, and all essential workers. "We are giving all eligible individuals 10% off of their stay with us," says Lyn Sorensen, general manager of Sandy Cay. The privately-owned, fully-furnished, boutique condominiums of 60-units come with either a garden or gulf view, and are a secluded, quiet rental spot for visitors and staycationers alike. The team at Sandy Cay hope that the first responders and essential workers who have tirelessly worked in stressful situations these last few months can take advantage of a well-deserved getaway of respite this month.
To sweeten the deal, the resort will also be partnering with local restaurants–including The Lazy Lobster of Longboat, Marina Jack, Dry Dock Waterfront Grill, Shore LBK and Solorzano's Pizzeria, to have these guests take their pick of a gift certificate to enjoy a complimentary meal along with an additional discount from the restaurant. "There are no words to express the gratitude we have for those first responders and essential employees who have kept others safe and fed throughout this pandemic."
How it Works: Show a valid work or employment ID showing you are one of the aforementioned workers to receive a 10% discount on your stay. Pick your favorite gift certificates from one of the restaurant partners–in turn, you’ll also enjoy an additional discount at your chosen restaurant.
For reservations, email reservations@sandcay.net or call 941-383-5044.
