As hospitalizations continue to rise on the Suncoast, Sarasota Memorial Hospital is taking steps to bolster its staff, create more isolation units and ICU space for COVID-19 patients and reduce non-emergency elective surgeries to free up beds in other areas of the hospital for non-COVID patients who need care.
