Lead Youth-Serving Organizations to Provide Daytime Programs for Remote Learners

The Giving Coast

As schools across Sarasota County prepare to welcome students back on August 31, teachers are designing lesson plans for both inside and outside of the classroom. Thanks to lead support from the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County and Girls Inc. of Sarasota County will open their facilities during the school day to a limited number of families with school-aged children to virtually access their teacher’s educational resources. “Now, more than ever, our community’s future leaders are depending on organizations like ours to help them stay on track to achieve their full potential,” said Bill Sadlo, President/CEO at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County. “We’re proud to work alongside Girls Inc. of Sarasota County to supplement students’ educational needs during the day, and alleviate caregivers’ worries so they can continue to work.”
