Manatee District to Unveil COVID-19 Dashboard

Coconut Telegraph

To provide families, employees and the community additional information on Coronavirus cases in our schools and support sites, the School District of Manatee County will unveil a COVID-19 Dashboard on its website beginning this evening. The Dashboard can be accessed from the home page under the heading of “COVID-19 Dashboard.” Similar to dashboards used in other school districts in Florida, the Manatee District’s COVID-19 Dashboard will display the number of confirmed cases in individual Manatee District schools and support sites dating back to the first day of school on Monday, August 17, 2020. The dashboard will also include the total number of cases in the district dating back to the start of the current school year. “The dashboard will be help our parents and employees understand how COVID-19 is impacting our schools and school district on a daily basis as well as over time,” said Superintendent Cynthia Saunders. “We are still committed to protecting the medical privacy rights of individuals impacted by COVID-19, and we believe the dashboard will provide useful insight while also protecting individual confidentiality.”
