The Giving Coast

For questions please email sarasotastrong@gmail.com

Many parents in Sarasota are looking for resources and support for how to talk with their children about racism and privilege, and how to support the development of values of racial equity and justice. This workshop provides the opportunity for participants to reflect on their own racial attitudes while also learning and practicing ways to discuss racism with their children. Workshop will take place on Tuesday of the following dates from 6:30-7:30pm: November 17th, November 24th, December 1st and December 8th. There will be four 1-hour zoom sessions led by Greg Cruz (founder of non-profit Streets of Paradise) and Kim Doleatto (writer for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune) for ages 7 - 12.
