Sarasota Sports Medicine (SSM) is equipping Floridians with all the tools they need to be successful with their nutrition goals by partnering with the national fitness franchise Orangetheory, a popular gym membership program offering unique exercise classes. Combining their efforts, SSM is partnering with four of their Sarasota area gym locations to help people get into a healthy routine through food as well as exercise. Specializing in nutrition, SSM will be providing the “Get Real in 2021” program to transform lives through food. “Setting up a nutritional plan is very important, not just for weight loss, but for overall health and wellness,” said Heather Hackett, Nutrition Specialist of Sarasota Sports Medicine. “People often don’t realize that they may have food sensitivities and that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all diet, which is why we create individualized nutrition plans to fit every person’s unique goals,” she added.
Sarasota Sports Medicine will kick off their Get Real 2021 program with a wine and appetizer night. They will offer valuable information about how to accomplish your unique nutrition goals in 2021. The Sarasota Chamber of Commerce will also host a ribbon cutting with SSM earlier in the day. Orangetheory Fitness also kicks off their 2021 challenge on the 14th. They will be on hand at the event to answer any fitness and exercise-related questions. Free Orangetheory day passes and goodies will also be provided that night. The event will begin at 5 pm and last until 7 pm on Thursday, January 14, and will be held at their location located at 1400 Cattlemen Rd Suite 103, Sarasota, 34232. Food and drink will be served and social distancing will be observed. Dr. Ken Kaufman, owner and founder of Sarasota Sports Medicine and the official Spring Training chiropractor for the Baltimore Orioles will be available to answer any questions about injuries or training related topics.
