Record Donation to Support Homeless Students

The Giving Coast

Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church recently donated more than $25,550 to Project H.E.A.R.T. which will help homeless students and their families. It’s the largest donation ever received by the program and comes at a time when school districts across the state expect to see a major increase in homeless families next school year. Project H.E.A.R.T. provides support and resources for students living through a housing transition. Their mission is helping families with school enrollment, encouraging attendance and helping students break down barriers standing in the way of their success. The program pays for academic tutoring at shelters, school-related fees such as field trip or graduation costs and much more.
