Kids Promote Kindness to Mother Earth

The Giving Coast

The Earth Day team at Virgil Mills Elementary is encouraging students to promote kindness to earth. Young artists are quickly filling up a garden with colorful kindness rocks. Students will also be signing a pledge that they will work together to protect our planet. Mack Lessig of University of Florida IFAS Extension will be speaking to the students outdoors about butterflies and native plants before leading them in a seed planting activity. They will also reduce their use of classroom lights, reuse materials to create a class art project and recycle trash found around campus.
