Sarasota County to Launch Emergency Rental Assistance Program Applications

Applications for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program will be available beginning Wednesday, May 5 for Sarasota County residents financially impacted by COVID-19 and seeking assistance paying rent and utilities. Sarasota County received $13 million from the U.S. Department of Treasury Emergency Rental Assistance program to help households unable to pay rent and utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible households may receive up to 12 months of assistance, plus an additional three months if needed to ensure housing stability, as long as funds are available.
