CenterPlace Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides high-quality, affordable health care to Sarasota County families, has received a $30,000 from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to support their mobile health clinic and community outreach vaccination initiative. The grant from the James Franklin Warnell & Dorothy J. Warnell Fund will be used to ensure residents of Sarasota County have equity and access to the COVID-19 vaccination.

CenterPlace Health is collaborating with the Shots in Arms coalition to reach underprivileged communities that have limited access or hesitancy to the COVID-19 vaccine. The initiative aims to increase vaccination numbers by 20% and establish trust for community health care among the underserved communities in Sarasota county.  The mobile health clinics will enable CenterPlace Health to be “boots on the ground” and interact with communities in their neighborhoods to create a trusting relationship.
