Manatee High School To Honor Fallen Alumni

Manatee High School and the Manatee High Alumni Association are honoring 49 graduates who were killed in the line of duty. The dedication of a new display case is taking place on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Davis Building, which is located on the school campus at 902 33rd St. Ct. West in Bradenton. The display case will hold photos of the 48 fallen military members and Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Jeffrey Young, who was killed during a traffic stop in 1987. The graduation dates of these heroes ranges from 1915 to 2017. Manatee High School JROTC is participating in the dedication. Afterwards, student musicians from MHS chorus, orchestra and band are performing a concert featuring patriotic and holiday music in the Davis Theatre.
