Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of new board member, Carl W. Battle. Carl W. Battle was Sr. VP and Chief Patent Counsel for GlaxoSmithKline and managed GSK’s global patent and intellectual property portfolio. He earned a B.S. in chemistry and economics from Dartmouth College and a Juris Doctorate degree (with honors) from Widener University School of Law. A resident of Sarasota, Carl founded National Legal Information Services and is chair of the Gamma Xi Boulé Foundation Board. The current 22-member board includes Michael J.
