Each year, SRQ Media invites the community to nominate individuals with hearts of giving who have made a significant impact with local nonprofit organizations — from volunteers and board members to individual staff members and donors. This year, attendees were thrilled to be together as we recognized our annual Good Hero Philanthropic Award recipients at the SB2: Philanthropic Agenda Luncheon and Good Hero Philanthropic Awards Luncheon on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. In the coming weeks, we are happy to feature each of the twelve honorees in our Wednesday Philanthropic edition of SRQ Daily.

Today we are recognizing Good Hero, Brian Mariash of Mariash and Lowther Wealth Management. Brian is described as “not only being brilliant at what he does, but also instilling in his entire team the ideology and mandate to serve others.” He gives back to so many organizations that serve so many in need and exemplifies everything that we would hope for in a good, honest, dedicated, compassionate, caring human being. And his firm is also a founding sponsor of SB2. Brian's personal mission is to Educate. Connect. Contribute. He has devoted much of his personal time and treasure as a deeply engaged Board member and volunteer for numerous organizations over the years including: All Faiths Food Bank, Circus Arts Conservatory, Child Protection Center, Easter Seals of Southwest Florida, JFCS of the Suncoast, C-F-B-H, and Embracing Our Differences.
