Hispanic Resource Community Fair Offers Assistance to Spanish-Speaking Families

The School District of Manatee County is hosting a Hispanic Resource Community Fair this week to assist Spanish-speaking families with much-needed services. The fair is taking place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. this Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Wakeland Support Center, located at 1812 27th Street East in Bradenton. Volunteers are helping families with important information such as school or transportation registration, summer camp enrollment, accessing student grades, applying for job opportunities, filing for rental assistance, enrolling in adult English classes, answering questions about healthcare access and more. There will be a food pantry for families, as well as free haircuts, medical exams and clothing. Community partners who are participating include: Centerstone, Farmworker Career Development Program, Florida Department of Health-Manatee, Manatee Literacy Council, Manatee Technical College, Manatee County Government, MCR Health, Project HEART, Unidos Now and more.
