CAN Community Health Recognized as a Gator100 Organization

CAN Community Health (CAN) was named to the University of Florida’s 2022 Gator100 during an April 22 awards ceremonytodayin the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on the UF campus. Presented bythe University ofFlorida Alumni Association, the Gator100 recognizes the world’s fastest-growing businesses owned or led by UF alumni. Ernst & Young, independent accounting firm of the Gator100 since the program began in 2015,verifies financial information submitted by each company and calculates the rankings based on compound annual growth rate over the past three years. CAN President and CEO Dr. Rishi Patel began his academic career at the University of Florida, earning a bachelor’s degree in microbiologyin 1996. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Florida Gulf Coast University, and a doctorate of pharmacyfrom Nova Southeastern University.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized alongside other incredible organizations that represent the values of the University of Florida. At CAN Community Health we strive to remove barriers to care and provide the best health services to those living with and affected by HIV, STD’s and Viral Hepatitis. It is truly great to be a Florida Gator,” Patel said. The 2022 Gator100 celebrated companies from more than 17 industries, with the top three representing construction and design, health, and consumer products and services. The Gator100 honor comes just a few months after CAN was selected as one of the “2022 Best Nonprofits to Work For” by The NonProfit Times, the leading national business publication for nonprofit managers.
