The St. Armand’s Key Lutheran Church Foundation (SAKLCF) recently granted Second Heart Homes $15,000 to help refresh the appearance and landscaping of six houses that keep formerly homeless individuals off the streets and on a path toward recovery from mental illness. Attractive landscaping not only makes a house feel like a home to its residents but improves curb appeal and protects property values in the neighborhood. The grant’s value will be enhanced by volunteer landscapers from St. Armand’s Key Lutheran Church and elsewhere in the community.
