Asolo Repertory Theatre has announced upcoming dates for its popular Drama Days program. Drama Days offers creative camps for young artists ages 6-11 during school breaks. Upcoming camps take place during Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Breaks. Facilitated by Asolo Rep’s Education & Engagement team, Drama Days camps invite students to spend their time out of school flexing their creative muscles and learning more about their world through theatre. Drama Days camps are for ages 6 to 11 and run 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Morning and aftercare are also available. Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 21-23, Twisted Tales, $115 Upside-down and inside-out, take known stories and shake them about. In this three-day introduction to adaptation, campers take stories they know and love, “explode” them and make them brand new again – with a theatrical twist. Winter Break: Jan. 2-6, Miniature Worlds, $175. What do you do with an idea and a cardboard box? Create universes, worlds and stories of all sizes! In this five-day makers lab, campers grow their ideas, imagining civilizations, inventing histories and engineering environments. Spring Break: March 13-17, Twisted Tales, $175. Check your stats, look for traps and roll the dice. Do you love role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons? This week, campers devise and become intrepid characters, setting off on a perilous journey where fate is determined by chance, stats and imagination. Join us for a week of (mis)adventures!
