Visit Sarasota County Sports Commission Launches Virtual Center to Expand on Sports Tourism Marketing Efforts

Things To Do

Visit Sarasota County (VSC), the official tourism marketing entity and primary provider of visitor information for the community, launched a new website landing page to highlight the numerous sporting venues available for organizations across the nation to consider for events. The online hub, created through VSC’s Sports Commission, allows users to virtually explore different facilities in the county, view upcoming events, and begin the process of hosting their own tournament in Sarasota County through the click of a button. The page will also serve as a resource for residents interested in attending some of the community’s events. VSC’s new landing page is part of a major marketing push to attract new sports organizations to the community and host events at some of its leading venues. In recent years, Sarasota County made the national map as a destination for professional, amateur and recreational sports due to its year-round, warm weather and wide array of community amenities. With over 40 parks, sports complexes, courts, trails, and arenas in the region, the county fosters and supports an active sports community, which is complemented by its robust arts, culture, and dining scenes. Well-known sporting facilities currently include the MLB’s spring training complexes for the Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves, and internationally acclaimed multi-sport rowing venue Nathan Benderson Park.More information on VSC’s new website page can be viewed here: sports.visitsarasota.com/
