The Sarasota County Democratic Party (SCDP) and the Sarasota Democratic Black Caucus are excited to announce the opening of the new Sarasota Democratic Black Caucus Resource Center. On July 15th from 10 AM-4 PM, the Sarasota Democratic Black Caucus will be hosting an office grand opening of the resource center located in the heart of historic Newtown at 1751 Dr. MLK Way, Unit A, Sarasota, FL. 34234. "The Black Caucus Resource Center will serve as a permanent Democratic presence in Newtown and help provide year-round voter support in the community," said SCDP Chair Daniel Kuether. "Newtown deserves to know the local Democratic Party supports them beyond each election season. The Black Caucus Resource Center will inform voters, connect residents to their local government, and serve as a meeting place in Newtown to address and hear the community's needs," added Kuether. “This effort is only possible through the strength of our Democratic Black Caucus and their President, Greg Marshall.” The Sarasota Democratic Party believes new voter engagement strategies will help reinforce Newtown residents' voices. Kuether noted, "We are very much invested in aiding this neighborhood by facilitating resources and increasing access to voters throughout the community. Sarasota has much to gain from a well-equipped Newtown and bolstering everyday citizens' right to vote."
