The Limelight District, a thriving community of more than 100 independent businesses, is excited to announce the election of its new board of officers for the 2023-2024 term. They are committed to fostering a vibrant and enriching experience for artists, makers, and innovative businesses in Sarasota. As the Limelight District continues to evolve, these passionate individuals are poised to lead the way, ensuring that the district remains the location of choice for artists, makers, and creative enthusiasts alike. With their collective expertise, the Limelight District is set to soar to new heights, solidifying its position as a hub for artistic expression and community engagement. Kim Livengood, APR, CPRC, a seasoned Public Relations & Marketing professional owns and operates The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime and Hamlet’s Eatery. She brings a wealth of experience to her role as President of the Limelight District's board of officers. She is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone in the Limelight District. Howard Davis, an accomplished entrepreneur and advocate for small businesses, assumes the role of Vice President. With a strong focus on economic growth and sustainability, Howard will work tirelessly to ensure that the Limelight District remains a bustling hub of independent businesses, fostering prosperity and collaboration within the community. Rob Manley, owner of Boombacha Kombucha, will serve as the Limelight District's Secretary. Drawing upon his background in marketing and communications, Rob will play a pivotal role in retaining membership and promoting the district's events, initiatives, and the exceptional talent within its boundaries. Mark Adams, owner of Burgess Signs, takes on the position of Treasurer. Mark will oversee the district's financial management, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support the Limelight District's growth and development. Rounding out the board of directors is co-owner of Creative Liberties Elizabeth Goodwill, owner of Skip’s Automotive Rob Wong, and co-owner of Sun King Brewery Clay Robinson. Together, this exceptional team of officers will work collaboratively to steer the Limelight District towards a bright future. By leveraging their unique skills and shared vision, they will continue to cultivate an environment that encourages artistic expression, fosters entrepreneurship, and nurtures community.
