A dedication was recently held for a new outdoor therapeutic activity area at Loveland Center in Venice.  This new area was made possible thanks to a matching grant provided to Suncoast Charities for Children from the James M. Doss Charitable Foundation in support of the 25th Annual Thunder By The Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival.  This new area will help serve over 100 Loveland participants, with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and will offer training and education on the benefits of exercise for residents who live in the Loveland Villages.  Lucy Nicandri, Executive Director of Suncoast Charities for Children, stated: “Projects like this show our donors the positive impact that their gift is making right here in our local area.” During the dedication Marla and Jim Doss announced that the James M. Doss Charitable Foundation will provide another matching grant, for all donations received up to $25,000.00, in support of the 26th Annual Thunder By The Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival taking place Feb. 16-18, 2024. Jim and Marla Doss shared, “We love it when we can go and see a project firsthand that was funded by the James M. Doss Charitable Foundation and personally get to meet the participants who will benefit.”  Anyone interested in receiving clinical services such as physical, occupational, speech, and pediatric therapy can contact the Director of Clinical Services at losmond@lovelandcenter.org For more information on Suncoast Charities for Children, or to make a donation, visit suncoastcharitiesforchildren.org
