Woodland Middle School's Art department is excited to announce that Ms. Harper Hambrick has been selected as the winner of the annual Downtown Venice Art Festival’s official poster design contest. Ms. Hambrick's outstanding artwork – "A Walk Down Brohard Beach" – secured the top spot in a highly competitive field of entries and will serve as the official poster for the annual Downtown Venice Art Festival. Ms. Hambrick is the first student within Sarasota County Schools to win this competition. All of Mr. Bruce Jenkins' art students participated in the contest, which was open to the broader community as well. As the grand prize winner, Ms. Hambrick also received a $200 cash prize at an unveiling event held on Thursday, October 26.
