The Pops Orchestra Presents I Love You to the Moon and Back

Arts & Culture

The Pops Orchestra, under the direction of music director Robyn Bell, continues its 48th season with “I Love You to the Moon and Back,” a Valentine’s Day themed program featuring vocalists Anne Tormela and Nick Palance. Conductor Robyn Bell said of the guest artists, “Anne and Nick will be amazing together. Anne has sung in Carnegie Hall, Germany, Italy, France, Sweden, and Israel, and Nick has been hailed by critics as the new ‘American Bocelli.’ In addition to having sung private concerts for William Shatner, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Jon Voigt, he can often be found performing at Las Vegas’s Caesar’s Palace. When the two shared their repertoire catalog with me, I quickly saw a unique theme emerge: one of the moon, stars, sky, and all things cosmic. Musical highlights for this show include Moon River, Fly Me to the Moon, Blue Skies, A Piece of Sky, Stella by Starlight, Dancing in the Moonlight, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, and so many more that you will quickly recognize and sing along to! That’s amoré!" The concerts are on Sunday, February 11, 3:00 pm, at Riverview Performing Arts Center (1 Ram Way, Sarasota, FL 34231) and Monday, February 12, 7:30 p.m., at Neel Performing Arts Center on the SCF campus (5840 26th St W, Bradenton, FL 34207). Single tickets start at $30. Contact our Box Office at 941-926-7677 or visit www.ThePopsOrchestra.org.
