Play ball! Wellen Park welcomes Atlanta Braves fans to spring training at CoolToday Park and post-game fun in Downtown Wellen, where all phase I tenants are now open. As the area’s must-visit hotspot and regional gathering hub, downtown is the new gameday destination for dining, shopping, live music, outdoor recreation and so much more, both before and after a Braves game. Fans and foodies will enjoy an array of cuisine, including ultra-casual food served from retrofitted shipping containers in The Yard to upscale American fare at The Banyan House, downtown’s flagship restaurant along the Grand Lake. Offering a playful environment with alfresco dining, games and activities, The Yard features new England-style seafood at Claw & Co., gourmet ballpark favorites from Atlanta Braves-affiliated Pop Dawgs and casual eats at Lakeside Bites. Diners will also discover coastal Italian fare at Acqua Pazza, gourmet ice cream at Bright Ice Scoop Shop, plus Foxtail Coffee Co., Oak & Stone Artisan Pizza Craft Beer and Villani & Co. Steaks Seafood Raw Bar. Shopping opportunities include Breakwater Home Fashions featuring coastal-inspired decor, DanaTyler jewelry and fashion boutique and Naples Soap Company offering natural and organic beauty and skincare products. Downtown Wellen is also home to Paint Nail Bar, Florida Lakes Spa and Florida Lakes Vein Center. Downtown office tenants include Capstan Financial Consulting, RWA Engineering and Dr. Jeffrey Seymour Smiles Orthodontics. Spanning 80 acres, the Grand Lake provides a scenic backdrop throughout Downtown Wellen and offers a floating dock and recreational activities, including fishing, kayaking and paddleboarding with rentals available at Kind Vibes Outfitters. The outfitter also rents bicycles and e-bikes for exploring the 3-mile walking, cycling and jogging trail circling the lake and connecting to The Landing fishing pier. The pedestrian-friendly downtown’s thoughtfully designed spaces create unique outdoor experiences – from intimate parks, a natural playground and a living room shaded by a decades-old relocated live oak tree to larger gathering spaces like the Great Lawn for community festivals, markets, celebrations and events, and the lakefront fountain and splashpad. Solis Hall features an outdoor stage, a lakefront patio and an easy flow from inside spaces to neighboring alfresco areas. From date nights to movie nights, live music, dueling pianos, drop-in cornhole and Sunday farmers markets, Downtown Wellen hosts weekly and monthly fan-favorite events and activities. Located at 19745 Wellen Park Blvd., Venice, Downtown Wellen can be accessed directly from Preto Boulevard and U.S. 41, just west of South River Road. A future downtown entry directly from U.S. 41 and Wellen Park Boulevard is currently under construction.
