Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties (BGCSDC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Phillips as the new Vice President of Finance. Jeff brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in financial management to help the nonprofit empower youth, ages 6 to 18, to succeed in school, practice healthy habits, become leaders, and plan for success after high school graduation. With more than 30 years of experience in banking, accounting, and finance, Jeff has held senior leadership roles such as Corporate Banking Officer, Corporate Controller, and Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at Gallagher and Hagopian Law, where he successfully managed the construction of a new owner-occupied building and oversaw comprehensive accounting and financial functions, including reconciliation, billing, and tax preparation.In his new role at BGCSDC, Jeff will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions, including accounting processes, budgeting, property management, annual audits, and the administration of property and liability insurance. As a key member of the senior management team, he will help lead the strategic vision for the organization’s future, ensure the accurate and timely completion of daily accounting functions, and oversee the preparation of grant and financial reports.Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of South Florida and his expertise spans a wide range of financial disciplines, including cash flow analysis, budgeting, internal audits, and risk management.
