The Out-of-Door Academy held a memorable Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its newest campus, the Lower School on Clark Road, marking an exciting new chapter in the school’s 100-year history. With a large crowd of new families, faculty, board members, and supporters in attendance, the event highlighted Out-of-Door’s commitment to innovative growth while honoring its long-standing traditions of excellence in education. The 100-acre campus was announced as the next chapter in the school's history in October 2023, and renovations to existing school buildings on the site were quickly made to accommodate students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 for the 2024-25 school year. "We are incredibly proud of the new Clark Road Campus and its role in expanding The Out-of-Door Academy’s vision of preparing growth-minded students who thrive in an ever-changing world," said Dr. Kelly Rose, Director of the Lower School on Clark Road. "This campus reflects our dedication to innovation while staying true to the core values that have defined our school for the past 100 years." The Grand Opening event featured heartfelt speeches and was brought to life by performances from students, who sang the School's Alma Mater and led the Pledge of Allegiance. A special moment in the ceremony came when Audrey Robbins, mother of the late Trey Malone—the valedictorian of Out-of-Door’s Class of 2009—rang the new bell dedicated in his memory.
