Second Annual Links on the Greens Golf Classic

The Giving Coast

The Bradenton/Sarasota (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will host the 2nd Annual Links on The Greens Golf Classic on Saturday, September 21, 2024, 1pm, at University Park Country Club in Bradenton.Links on the Greens Golf Classic benefits the Exemplifying Excellence Scholarship and Community Service Programs which provide financial support and mentorship to eligible students of African-American descent who are identified as accomplished scholars during their high school years. For the second consecutive year, four local students, representing the second cohort, were awarded our Exemplifying Excellence Scholarship from the proceeds of the 2023 Links on the Greens Golf Classic. These students are eligible for this renewable scholarship for four academic years, pending fulfillment of the established criteria. “Last year, we hosted over 130 golfers and gamers and raised over $30,000, including sponsorships, to benefit the Exemplifying Excellence Scholarship Program. We are so proud to support these local students financially and through our mentorship program to ensure that they explore their gifts and talents, graduate and pursue their chosen careers,” said Brenda Belsito, President, Bradenton/Sarasota (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. During the event, players will enjoy an afternoon filled with camaraderie and friendly competition. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or trying golf for the first time, all are invited to join the fun. Attendees will also have a chance to win exciting raffle prizes. Players of all skill levels are welcomed. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit bslinksinc.org/chapter-fundraiser.
