Since debuting in early 2024, Focaccia has quickly become a favorite destination for diners craving fresh, artisanal lunch fare in Sarasota. Known for its hearty sandwiches, comforting soups, flavor-packed salads and of course for its signature fresh-baked focaccia bread, the eatery offered a savory and satisfying midday menu. Now, there’s even more to love about Focaccia: as of October 1st, the restaurant is now serving breakfast, too.

“One of the best things on bread is an egg sandwich,” says Nick Sammelman, chef/owner of Focaccia. “I researched and developed our bread for two years and baked almost every single day just to get it right. I had bread everywhere all the time. I would do a ton of stuff with it, but an egg sandwich was my go-to and I never got tired of it. I still eat one every morning.”

There are a few variations of the egg sandwich at Focaccia. The Egg + Cheese Sandwich comes with white cheddar cheese, garlic aioli, and arugula, while the Bacon + Egg Sandwich comes with white cheddar, garlic aioli, avocado, and porchetta bacon. There’s even a Steak + Egg Sandwich with garlic aioli, white cheddar and shaved prime rib. Focaccia also offers their own twist on trendy Avocado Toast - theirs is topped with piquillo pepper puree, microgreens, radish and dill. In the mood for something simple? Try the Focaccia Scramble with a side of Breakfast Potatoes. In the mood for something a little more elevated? The Focaccia Benedict is as elegant as it is delicious.

Focaccia is now open from 8am-4pm Tuesdays through Saturdays. Breakfast is served between 8am and 11am, and lunch is served from 11am to 4pm. The restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays. While Focaccia has been running with limited power after recent storms, they are now fully operational and serving their full menu plus specials during their regular hours.
