Nate's Honor Hurricane Milton Recovery Update and Request For Help

The Giving Coast

We are incredibly grateful to report that all animals and staff at Nate's Honor Animal Rescue Center are safe following Hurricane Milton. Thanks to our amazing community of fosters, the majority of our animals were able to find temporary homes before the storm hit. The four animals who remained at the shelter braved the weather without any issues. While the shelter itself sustained minimal physical damage – trees and debris impacted some of our kennels, fences are down, and a few roof panels are damaged – the power outage caused more significant losses. We tragicallylost all of our refrigerated food, medications, and diagnostic supplies needed for to serve the over 100 animals in our care. These losses alone cost us thousands of dollars and have set us back as we work to recover. As we continue to clean up and restore our operations, we ask for your support. Your donation today is essential in helping us rebuild and replace what was lost so that we can continue providing the best possible care for our animals. We can't do this without your help.
