The much-awaited rooftop bar at Oak & Stone’s newest location at 1201 1st Ave. W., alongside Springhill Suites, will open officially to the public on Monday, December 23. The 3,400-square-foot rooftop bar offers sprawling views of the Manatee River. Dubbed The Deck at Oak & Stone, the eighth-floor rooftop bar offers 20 signature self-serve taps for craft beer, cider and wine selections, cocktails from the Liquid Library and a limited menu with light bites and shareable plates. The open-air communal space incorporates several seating areas with umbrellas, low-top tables and three fire pits for a capacity of approximately 150. Oak & Stone’s 4,300-square-foot first floor restaurant opened on December 2 and offers a mix of craft beer, artisanal pizza and gourmet fare.

The highlight of Oak & Stone is the self-serve beer wall, which utilizes RFID technology. Whether upstairs on the Deck or downstairs at the main restaurant, guests can craft their own experience and sample at total of 68 rotating varieties of ciders and American craft beers on tap, with a special emphasis on local and regional breweries, including Motor Works, Calusa, Naughty Monk, Big Top and Darwin's, among others.

Hotel guests can enter Oak & Stone and The Deck at Oak & Stone directly through the hotel, and to-go in-room service, catering and pool service will be provided by the tavern. Since first opening in 2016, Oak & Stone has expanded its reach to St. Petersburg, with its second location opening in summer 2018. This year, Oak & Stone opened a third location on Clark Road in Sarasota and its latest location in Bradenton. Construction began in Bradenton in May 2019 by Matthews Construction, and since then, approximately 100 employees have been hired to support the team. A fifth location in Naples is coming soon.
