Fall Comes to Fruitville

We know. It may be hard to tell since we live in Florida—the land of endless summer—but it is officially fall, the season of cozy sweaters, warm apple cider and all things pumpkin. Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin spice lattes. Even a pumpkin festival.

This weekend, Fruitville Grove will be holding its 33rd annual Pumpkin Festival in Sarasota. Starting this Saturday, October 2 and running every weekend in the month, the festival will provide an abundance of autumnal merriment for everyone.

Admission isn’t the only thing that’s free. Fruitville Grove’s Pumpkin Festival will be hosting an assortment of fun, seasonal activities—free of cost. These include a petting zoo, the Torres Family Circus, live musical acts and costume contests. Other entertainment, like pony rides, pumpkin painting and zip lining can be enjoyed for $1-$10. And if activities aren’t your cup of tea—or shall I say cider—there will be plenty of other things to partake in, namely fall foods such as roasted corn, funnel cakes and curly fries, as well as a farmer’s market.

If you’re as ready as we are to welcome all things fall, then throw on your favorite Florida-approved sweater and boots, grab a pumpkin spiced latte and take a ride down to the Fruitville Grove’s Pumpkin Festival. Tractor not included.
