The smell of beer isn’t normally what you’d want accompanying you into the shower. And yet, Refinery takes a stab at convincing you otherwise. The one-stop men’s shop offers up grooming essentials including shaving kits complete with badger-bristle brushes, fine leather goods and, yes, beer soap. The shorn slabs made by Oil & Ash Soap Company come in a variety of taps such as Iced Pilsner, Woodland Lager, Spiced Stout and Citrus Aleand that might leave you hankering for a brewski.
The best part? These beery suds won’t dry out your skin. In fact, hops have a soothing effect and contain polyphenols, powerful antioxidants with bacteria-fighting powers. Each bar is handmade in small batches at Oil & Ash’s headquarters in Milwaukee—our country’s veritable brewing capital—using plant-based butters and essential oils, giving you that cleansing, hair-of-the-dog boost the morning after imbibing one too many.
Oil & Ash Soap Co. Brewer's Series soaps, $8.50 per bar
