Safely Shred Personal Documents April 12 at Clerk's Community Shred Day

The Office of Angelina "Angel" Colonneso, Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, will host its free Community Shred Day on Saturday, April 12 at the Manatee County Fairgrounds, 1402 14th Ave. W., Palmetto. The event runs from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the shred truck reaches capacity, whichever comes first.This drive-thru event allows residents to shred up to two bankers' boxes (12" x 10" x 15") of personal documents per vehicle. Accepted items include paper of any color or type, credit cards, and plastic IDs. Hard drive destruction will also be offered on site. The following will not be accepted: binders, junk mail, magazines, newspapers, wet or previously wet paper, or electronics. Laptops and PCs must have the hard drive removed before drop-off. Attendees must stay in their vehicles. Staff will unload documents and electronics to maintain safety and traffic flow.
