Archtober Panel Tonight
A panel on the "America's Crises and Their Impacts on Affordable Housing" will be convened tonight by the Sarasota Center for Architecture as part of its Architober series of events. Panelists include Sarasota City Manager Tom Barwin, Biter Enterprises CEO Jesse Biter, New College professor David Brain, Sarasota Urban Design Studio director Karin Murphy and Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County executive director Jim Shirley. The event is being hosted at The Francis in Downtown Sarasota and brings a key conversation to the discussion of the state of architecture in Sarasota. In addition to the simple logistical issues surrounding affordable housing, development of such houses has an enormous impact upon the streetscape and skylines of cities around the nation.
