Bealls' Knopik Named Florida Chamber Chairman
Steve Knopik, CEO of Bealls, was announced as the chairman of the Florida Chamber of Commerce for 2014-2015. Knopik has led Bealls, a national retailer based in Manatee County, since 2006, and previously served the company as president, chief financial officer and executive vice president. "It’s an honor for me to Chair the Florida Chamber Board. I am committed to working hard with the Florida Chamber team to build upon the successes that we’ve achieved. I firmly believe that the Florida Chamber will continue to play a vital role in shaping a bright future for all Floridians," Knopik said. Knopik took the reins this month from outgoing chair Eric Silagy, CEO of Florida Power and Light. Knopik's term helming the Chamber runs through Nov. 1, 2015.
